Raheem Sterling’s unfortunate incident against Everton brought back memories for Rio Ferdinand CFC MUFC
He looked bright throughout the contest, having a debut goal ruled out for offside.However, arguably his most memorable moment in the match came in very unexpected circumstances when appealing for a penalty.
With his back to goal Sterling went down inside the Everton box, arching his hips and backside in the direction of Toffees defender Yerry Mina as he landed on the ball. The incident drew lots of traction on social media but Manchester United legend Ferdinand has been in a similar position before. During a clash against Manchester City, Ferdinand was pictured pointing his backside in the direction of former Red Devil Carlos Tevez as the two tussled for the ball.
