Evan Ferguson's stock continues to rise

Evan Ferguson has been told that he would have at least three strikers ahead of him if he played for the England team.

Southgate also stated recently that believes the 18-year-old striker would have snubbed any approach from England. But former Premier League star Jermaine Pennant believes Harry Kane, Callum Wilson and Ivan Toney, who remains banned from playing football until January, would be ahead of Ferguson if he did play for England.

"It's a bit early to compare Ferguson to Kane - he needs a good couple of seasons. If he can match Harry's numbers, then we'll see." He added: "When a player is scoring hat-tricks, then people start to talk. Ferguson is still very young, and if he continues on that trajectory until January, then he's in for a shout.
