The world of soccer and superheroes are colliding, as EA has announced that the upcoming FIFA 23 will feature special designs for some Ultimate Team cards.
With the World Cup set to take place later this year, FIFA Ultimate Team , will feature FIFA World Cup FUT Heroes, which are special cards that will honor various legendary players in the history of the World Cup. Of those cards, 21 of them will feature unique illustrated designs from Marvel that replace the real-world player photos with reimagined Marvel Comics alter egos.
As shown in the gallery below, just nine cards have been revealed: U.S.A.’s Landon Donovan, Portugal’s Ricardo Carvalho, Italy’s Claudio Marchisio, the Ivory Coast’s Yaya Touré, South Korea’s Park Ji-sung, Uruguay’s Diego Forlán, Brazil’s Lucimar Ferreira da Silva , Mexico’s Rafael Márquez, and Argentina’s Javier Mascherano.Each player chosen for the FUT Heroes lineup will have two versions of their card: a base and the FIFA World Cup version.
