The series is described as 'a love letter to a time and a town where things weren’t always so inclusive'

Filming has begun on the Alan Carr comedy series, Changing Ends, which tells the story of his childhood growing up in Northampton during the 1980s.

The BAFTA award winning Chatty Man, 46, co-wrote the script alongside Scottish BAFTA & RTS award winning Simon Carlyle, the mind behind the BBC comedy Two Doors Down. Alan will also star in the series as himself in present day. Alan was born in Weymouth but spent most of his childhood in Northampton whilst his father managed the Cobblers between 1985 and 1990. The comedian announced he was making the series last February, and launched an open audition to find a young actor to play his younger self.

The ITVX and ITV1 comedy is being produced by Baby Cow Productions, co-founded by Steve Coogan, and behind other comedy classics like The Witchfinder, Gavin & Stacey, and Alan Partridge.
