Taoiseach Simon Harris will launch his party's housing policy in Dublin this morning
Fine Gael will increase the rent tax credit to €1,500 and expand the First Home Scheme to second-hand homes if they are returned to government.
The Irish Mirror understands that Fine Gael’s new housing policy will increase the Rent Tax Credit to €1,500 per renter or €3,000 per couple. The credit is currently €1,000 per individual or €2,000 per couple.READ MORE: Michael O’Leary’s Fine Gael endorsement ‘offensive’ to teachers The policy will also contain plans to extend the First Home Scheme to cover first-time buyers of second-hand homes.
