It followed five regional meetings across the weekend to allow the party membership to vote on the programme for government. The party later confirmed that 93.9% voted yes and 6.1% voted no. Despite the overwhelming passage of the programme for government, there continues to be growing anger on the Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael back benches about the number of jobs given to independents during the programme for government negotiations.
