Crews were in attendance for an hour
Four fire engines were called to a commercial building fire in Heysham yesterday evening. The Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service crews, who came from Morecambe, Lancaster and Boston Le Sands, arrived on the scene at 9:16pm after the fire was reported in a building along Heysham Road.
The firefighters worked for an hour to extinguish the fire, wearing breathing apparatus while using a hose reel, two ventilation units and a gaining-entry kit to safely put it out. In a tweet issued just after midnight on Saturday, Lancashire Fire and Rescue stated: "At 21:16 on the 4th November 2022, four fire engines from @MorecambeFire @lancaster_fire and @bls_fire attended a commercial building fire on Heysham Road, Heysham." The incident was closed before 10:30pm.
