Paramedics revived a pit bull after he was found inside a home on fire in Aurora.
It took firefighters about 45 minutes to extinguish a fire at a house in the 500 block of West Park Avenue in Aurora Friday.Another dog that was inside the house has not been found, officials said Friday afternoon.Around 11:59 a.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a house fire in the 500 block of West Park Avenue, which produced a large column of smoke that could be seen from a distance, officials said in a news release.

The pit bull was found on the first floor unconscious and not breathing. Paramedics successfully revived the animal after 15 minutes of providing oxygen to the dog, officials said. The fire was extinguished in approximately 45 minutes and fire crews remained on the scene to extinguish hot spots and continue searching for the missing chihuahua.Victim Services was called to assist two adults and two children with housing in the wake of the fire.
