A bus company plans to hold passenger surgeries and a community recruitment event in a community where residents are campaigning for the return of a much-missed route.

Ms McKelvie told Lanarkshire Live: “The loss of the X1 service has left many residents feeling isolated, particularly when it comes to essential appointments or simply visiting Hamilton town centre. A date for the bus surgery event in Hillhouse is still to be determined, with First promising to share this with community members at the earliest opportunity.
A spokesperson for First Bus told Lanarkshire Live: “We are planning to hold a community recruitment event and bus users’ surgery at Hillhouse community hub – the date of this event will be shared as soon as it is finalised.
