Disney+ have just released a first look at an exclusive documentary that will cover the story of Coleen Rooney’s infamous trial with Rebekah Vardy.Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, will be told through the perspective of Coleen, alongside interviews with family, friends and key players involved in the resulting trial.
The show will reveal everything that went on behind the scenes as Coleen turned amateur online sleuth to find an explanation for why private stories concerning herself and her family continued to appear in the media.From the circumstances that led to her iconic Instagram post, to the way Coleen successfully defended herself in one of the UK’s highest-profile High Court defamation cases, the show will cover it all.
As well as the case itself, the documentary will explore how Coleen has had her life played out in public for the last 20 years, as the wife of famous footballer Wayne Rooney.Coleen is clearly ready to share her insights on what happened with Rebekah. She most recently appeared on the September cover of British Vogue and discussed the upcoming documentary.
“It’s brought up a lot of emotions” she told the magazine. “I felt like everyone else has spoken about it except me…and it’s my story to tell.” It’s safe to say we are absolutely buzzing for this. There’s no official release date yet, but it’s set to come out later this year.
