The new flashy set takes centre stage featuring an American style brightly lit sign with the show’s name
With just hours to go on the countdown to his opening night as host, Kielty is busy preparing to go live for the first time on the iconic RTE show.
The new flashy set takes centre stage, featuring an American-style brightly lit sign with the show’s name on it hung over a curtain where this year’s guests are set to appear. Responding to rumours of big changes ranging from the death of the famous owl and music to a totally different format based on UK style chat shows like Graham Norton or Jonathon Ross style, the new host said: “Change, no change. That is the logo,” as he laughed off all the speculation doing the rounds.
“I’m kind of hoping it is going to be Patrick Kielty style… and of course there’s going to be music,” he confirmed. Naturally, he is also hoping to embrace his own comedic flair and bring the 'craic' back to the late night show.
