The first snow of the season has been reported in Scotland, including a covering recorded on mountains north of the border last week

More snow has also reported further south, according to the Express. North Yorkshire Weather Updates Facebook group posted: "Ey up, Scotland had its first snow of the season this morning! If you're mooching up Muker this evening it’s a bit nesh out like. It’s 2c and you’ll need ya Yorkshire tea bobble hat on to keeps the lugs warm."
However, Netweather TV forecaster Terry Scholey stated on its website that colder weather “will disappear over the next few days, as an anticyclone moves away eastwards.” “Later on Wednesday, a cold front approaches Northern Ireland and North West Scotland, bringing freshening winds and some rain. Thursday sees this front working its way slowly South and East across the country, although much of the day across a large portion of England and Wales should continue fine and warm.”
