A fisherman, identified as Moses Odonkor, tragically lost his life in a workplace accident aboard a fishing vessel off the coast of Castletownbere, west Cork. The vessel's captain notified the Coast Guard, who alerted the Gardaí. Upon the boat's arrival at the Irish coast, Scenes of Crime Gardaí began examining the vessel.

CorkBeo reports the man has been named as Moses Odonkor. Sadly, this is the second tragedy to befall the family after his beloved son Joshua passed away in a tragic choking incident in 2023. The vessel's captain notified the Coast Guard, who then alerted the Gardaí, who began conducting an examination of the vessel when the boat arrived at the Irish coast. Moses’ body will be transported to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
