As much as 99,000 hectares of land in England will be focused on supporting nature under the schemes.
They will share an initial £2.4 million pot from the Environment Department and, for work to create new habitats, manage land for nature and carbon storage and increase footpaths and connect with communities, with further funding expected from other sources and partners.
