Minty later told officers she was either going to kill the victim or herself and made "aspersions" about herIn a statement, the victim said she feared being attacked by Minty and that she would do her serious harm. Passing sentence, Judge Sarah Buckingham told Minty: "You came up to her front door and brandished that knife.She described Minty as having a "fixation" with the idea that her neighbour had been having an affair with her ex-partner and that she was "running a brothel".
The judge said the claims appeared delusional, but there was no justification for her actions even if true. Minty admitted making a threat to kill and possessing a blade and was sentenced to two years, suspended for two years.
