Cal ISO has issued a statewide flex alert for the 10th straight day as a lingering heat wave continues to put a strain on the power grid.

Bay Area inland temperatures are expected to range from the mid-90s to the mid-100s while bay and coastal temps range from the low 70s to the low 90s. Temperatures across the region are expected to drop off significantly for the weekend, according to forecasts.
