A fire broke out at Weston Airport in Dublin on Tuesday night, with all arriving and departing flights cancelled on Wednesday as a result.
In a statement, the airport said: “Weston can confirm there was a small outbreak of fire in a room close to the Control Tower at 22:00 Tuesday night 24th September. The fire was brought under control by the Fire Service and there were no injuries. Dublin Fire Brigade said firefighters from Tallaght, Blanchardstown, and Tara Street were called to the fire. In a statement, it said: “The fire was contained and quickly extinguished by firefighters in breathing apparatus.
