Glasgow Airport flights diverted amid staff shortages
Staff shortages at Glasgow Airport have caused a nightmare for travellers with some flights forced to divert to Prestwick.
Two Easy Jet flights from London to Glasgow were diverted to Prestwick Airport in Ayr, about 37 miles away."This is due to the temporary suspension of Air Traffic Control services at Glasgow airport due to sickness. One passenger told The Scottish Sun:"We were due on an EasyJet flight to Gatwick at 10.30am but you could see from the flight tracker that the incoming flight suddenly got diverted to Prestwick. Then there were announcements about the airfield being closed and no explanation.
