The Met Office has issued a warning for "thunderstorms and torrential downpours". The alert is in place from 12pm today until 9pm this evening.
A large part of central England and Wales is covered by the warning, including Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. The Met Office says residents should anticipate the following: Yellow: The lowest of the three. Yellow means you should plan ahead for potential disruption to travel and other day-to-day activities. These are the most common.
