Orange County Fire and Rescue sent ladders up the 400-foot ride to all 20 occupied pods nearly three hours after the reported outage.At 9:40 p.m., officials said they escorted 62 people to safety as the rescue efforts continued. “As we rotate it down we have to manually rotate the door, so it takes about 10-15 minutes for each pod, for us to get it open, and to get the people out.”“We’ve trained hours and hours, on this type of rescue so we were ready for this.”a final update
