There was a poignant moment before kick-off with chairman David Sullivan seen with the flowers for Gold.Advertisement Moyes said: “Very sad, we’ve known that he was ill for a little while but unfortunately today he’s passed away. Our condolences to all his family. “He was a really, really good man. He used to come into the training ground, have lunch with us, he’d come in every Thursday or Friday.
“We were missing it over the last few months when we didn’t see him quite as much but obviously he was someone we were really fond of.”
