The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an urgent recall on popular bars due to allergy fears.People are being warned not to consume the products and to make sure you do not have the items affected.
“This may make the products unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of cereals containing gluten , peanuts, soybeans, and milk. The implicated bars were sold in Aldi stores.”The FSAI also has a recall out on some batches of various raw chicken products due to the presence of Salmonella Typhimurium.
These products were sold as fresh but are past their use-by date. However, the labels state they are suitable for home freezing with recall notices now displayed at their point-of-sale. The most common symptom is diarrhoea, which can sometimes be bloody. Other symptoms may include fever, headache and abdominal cramps.
