Manchester United supporters mocked Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp after the Old Trafford draw which saw Klopp's team lose hold of top spot in the Premier League title race
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was seen reacting to Manchester United fans' chant about him "cracking up" as he left the Old Trafford pitch on Sunday.
It was the Liverpool boss' final game at Old Trafford before he ends his nine-year association with the Reds this summer. He wasn't able to escape with a win, though, and United fans let him know all about it. The chant, to the tune of the refrain from 'Three Lions', evokes a similar chant aimed at Klopp's predecessor Rafa Benitez. Back in the 2008-09 season, Liverpool led the league in January and kept pace with United for much of the campaign, but ultimately finished four points adrift of Sir Alex Ferguson's team.
Fans of Erik ten Hag's side still took pride in potentially denying Liverpool the title, though. Klopp's team sit in second after the weekend's action, a point clear of Manchester City but behind Arsenal on goal difference.Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Klopp indicated he felt United put in extra effort for games against his side. However, he rejected the suggestion it was two points dropped for the Merseyside club.
