Acting Attorney General Andrew Bruck is seen here with former Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, then his boss, in this July 2021 file photo.Gov. Phil Murphy is on the verge of filling the most important job in his cabinet, the attorney general, whose sweeping powers include oversight of all police and prosecutors as well as handling civil cases for the state government, on everything from environmental protection to consumer rights.
