Nottingham Forest legend Roy Keane and fellow pundit Graeme Souness were involved in a furious on-air bust up today . The pair fell out over whether a penalty was given correctly. Football fans were probably not all that surprised that the famously combative duo came to verbal blows while on the same ITV show since both can be very trenchant in their opinions.
Roy, though, disagreed and blasted it as soft claiming there would be a 'record number of penalties if many more like it were given'. The argument then blew up with fellow ex pro Joe Cole looking distinctly uneasy.Viewers predictably greeted the verbal exchange with joy on Twitter. Tyrone Marshall said: “Keane and Souness nearly having a scrap on terrestrial TV at 11am on a Tuesday is what World Cups are all about.
