New images show stunning plans to redevelop 'eyesore' Deansgate hotel
One of Deansgate’s most divisive buildings is set for a huge makeover after plans were unveiled showing off new offices.
The 224 room Treehouse hotel already has planning permission. Now, planners have given the go-ahead to the office complex, which will be around 36,000 sq ft in size, spread over four floors. There will also be a communal roof terrace, wellbeing studio, bike store, and showers with changing rooms. Work is expected to begin by the end of March this year.
Will Lewis, founder of OBI — the firm tasked with ‘bringing the commercial space to market’ — said that he wants to see both large and small companies rent space. He explained: “New build office development of this nature is unique, as it enables both large corporates seeking a self-contained HQ and SMEs to take space on a floor-by-floor basis.
