Nominations form part of long-awaited plans to add more judges to the justice system

Former Lord Mayor of Dublin Oisín Quinn is among five new judges nominated by Cabinet for appointment to the High Court.

Among the other nominees include Barry O’Donnell SC, Siobhán Lankford SC, Emily Farrell SC and solicitor Liam Kennedy, who is also a senior counsel.
