Ex- Formula 1 team boss Eddie Jordan has died at 76, his family has confirmed. The Dublin-born entrepreneur, who was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer last year, passed away surrounded by loved ones in Cape Town in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Jordan made waves in Formula 1 beginning in 1991 and famously gave legend Michael Schumacher his start. The squad enjoyed several victories before dwindling post-millennium, leading to its 2005 sale to Midland Group, after which Jordan moved onto broadcasting with BBC's F1 team. In February, he frankly expressed he felt "not himself" due to intense treatments. His death was announced by the family this Thursday, reports the Mirror.
