Our minds are blown 🤯
It may come to the surprise of many that Iron Maiden have a football team which travels the globe to play football, what may baffle sports fans even more is that a former Rangers and Scotland player turns out for them.
Earlier this week the team, led by legendary bassist Steve Harris, were in Poland to take on a canpack company, which supplies bottle tops for the band's beer, at Hutnik Kraków's stadium. Amongst those on the pitch was a face familiar to many Scots football fans - particularly Rangers supporters - Colin Hendry.
The self-proclaimed rock and roll fan has enjoyed taking part in the band's exhibition games over the years. In 2018 he took part in a match alongside the music superstars against English non-league side Gornal Athletic, during which he captained the side.Although they were cheered on by Iron Maiden's songwriter and guitarist Adrian Smith, the game in Poland ended in a goalless draw.
