Following yesterday’s non-appearance by the 42-year-old, Judge Philip Babington had given the defendant 24 hours to appear before him in court today

A former Sinn Fein press officer child sex abuse offences has been found unconscious, a court heard today.

When the case was mentioned in court today, defence barrister Kieran Mallon KC told Judge Philip Babington “my understanding is he is still in hospital”. A PPS barrister said: “I only have anecdotal evidence about that. If that is the case I will not be making an application today.”
