A woman testified in Limerick Circuit Criminal Court that a former soldier sexually assaulted her multiple times when she was a child. The accused denies five counts of indecent assault against two young girls, alleged to have occurred between 1984 and 1989. The trial continues with the second alleged victim expected to give evidence.
A woman told a court today that a former solider sexually assaulted her in Limerick a number of times when she was a young child.
The witness said the man showed her how to kiss using tongues, and that “he used my hand to rub his penis”. “No one ever asked me what had happened, and my mother got this yellow ointment and she had to put it on me for a period of time.” Answering Mr Salmon, the witness agreed that a person known to her had previously “launched an attack” on the accused during a “psychotic episode”.
