COLLEGE STATION — Former Texas A&M receiver Demond Demas announced on Monday that he’s entered the transfer portal.
Demas, a former five-star prospect out of Tomball in the class of 2020, was arrested in Brazos County in early MarchDemas already had been suspended by A&M at the time for failing to attend class, according to a university official, and he was removed from the team following the arrest.
Last year Demas was arrested in Brazos County on a charge of possessing less than two ounces of marijuana. During the 2021 season Demas played in 10 games as a redshirt freshman before an injury sidelined him for the last two contests. He had a lone touchdown catch for 70 yards in A&M’s win over New Mexico in mid-September.
