Forza Motorsport teaser frustrates fans after always-online requirement gets revealed ForzaMotorsport Xbox XboxShowcase
Forza Motorsport, the newest main line entry in Xbox’s popular racing series, recently gave fans a deeper look at the upcoming game’s Career Mode through a gameplay demo. Now, even though it did give viewers a much better idea of what to expect, it hasn’t exactly been well-received by some players due to the revelation of its always-online requirement.
However, Esaki did note that there will be “options for playing offline,” which include Forza Motorsport’s Free Play mode where you’ll be able to practice to your heart’s content without an internet connection. But if you eventually want to race against others or try out the game’s vaunted Career Mode, then you will need to be online in order to do so.
Some fans predictably weren’t pleased upon learning of this requirement as there will inevitably be instances where an internet connection won’t be available. Some even started comparing it to Gran Turismo 7’s equally infamous system as one player ended up saying that “
