Customers who bought tickets online since May 12th have been told their financial information may be at risk.

Fota Wildlife Park is warning customers that their financial information may be at risk after its website was hit by a cyberattack.

In an email to customers, the park urged customers to review their bank account activity and cancel their debit or credit cards if necessary. The park said anyone who carried out a transaction on the website between May 12th and August 27th is at risk.“Fota Wildlife Park can confirm that illegal cyber activity was recently identified which impacted its website,” the park said in a statement.It said an “internal investigation” is now underway and “appropriate measures” have been taken to secure the organisation’s website.

“The incident has been notified to the relevant authorities and Fota Wildlife Park is cooperating with those authorities,” a spokesperson said.Although the website is currently offline, the park remains open today between 9.30am and 4.30pm with tickets are available at kiosks on site.
