An investigation into an incident of suspected criminal damage has also been launched by gardaí

Four people were hospitalised after a house fire broke out in Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning.

Firefighters tackled the fire, bringing it under control before the four occupants of the house were brought to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A garda spokesman said: "Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the Newcastle/Rathcoole area of County Dublin between 4am and 5:30am are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
