Four men have been arrested in connection with an alleged car theft.

A 20-year-old man, two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old have been snared after a vehicle, which had been reported stolen from Glasgow, failed to stop for officers on the M8 near junction 4A, Heartlands on Sunday, August 13.

After cops followed the vehicle, the car crashed into a barrier on the A803, Linlithgow. There were no reported injuries. The 20-year-old appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday, August 14 following the incident, and a report was sent to The Scottish Children's Reporter Administration for the three teenagers.spokesperson said:"Around 6.50pm on Sunday, August 13, 2023 a vehicle, which had been reported stolen, failed to stop for officers on the M8 near junction 4A, Heartlands."There were no reported injuries.

"A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday, August 14."Two 16-year-old male youths and a 15-year-old boy were also arrested and charged in connection and reports will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and The Scottish Children's Reporter Administration."
