France boss Hervé Renard has been linked with several roles since his revelation last week that he plans to step down after this summer’s Olympics - so he was asked on Thursday whether the Ireland men’s job was one that interested him.
And given that FAI director of football Marc Canham is in Metz with the Ireland squad - ahead of Friday's Euro 2025 qualifier against Renard's France - it seemed only fair to quiz him on the men's role.
