I had a golf event at the weekend then, so it’s never dull."He said: "I don’t ever allow myself not to be busy because I’ve always been busy. I’m always going somewhere." Francis is enjoying being away from the hotel, and while he still lives on the grounds he has completely stepped away from the day to day running. He said: "I was 42 years in The Park Hotel and 47 years in the hotel business. I’ve left the hotel, that’s it. "I still live in the grounds of the hotel, there’s an apartment block of 18 apartments. I go over every second day to collect my post, but I don’t dilly-dally. I just say 'Hi girls' and I walk in and walk out." The RTÉ star added: "The changes are interesting. Brian, the gentleman who bought the hotel, has a lot of modern art from Scully, Picasso and other famous names. He has hung the art on the walls of the hotel and it’s completely different. "We were Victorian before and the change is quite fresh. You can go around and look at the art and he has the history of the work displayed so you can read all about that."He said: "We were filming last month in Glengarriff and we have two more shows to finish. We have four episodes coming in September."Francis said: "I’d enjoy working on anything. I’m having meetings about doing a new travel show and that’s progressing. These things take time." A number of "celebrity" names have gone into politics in recent months, including Gráinne Seoige and Nina Carberry. He said: "I’ve been asked to get into politics, but I’m not interested. I always vote, but I won’t be running for elections myself. To read the full interview with Francis Brennan and to see the fabulous pictures pick up the latest issue of RSVP Magazine.
