Construction Ready has partnered with the Jacksonville Jaguars to bring residents a free class on construction now through April 8.
The class is designed to train skilled workers for construction projects. It is held Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 215 N. Markert St., #340.
Next week on Tuesday, March 29, the class will use hand tools followed by power tools on Wednesday. On Thursday, March 31, the class will have physical agility testing. Construction Ready hopes to close the skill gap and educate more people about careers in the skilled professions. The nonprofit plans to offer free 20-day construction education classes that end with training, credentialing and job placement. For more information, such as how to register, visit
