The event will showcase The Prince's Foundation's unique education offerings including farming, horticulture and textiles.

Education professionals from across Ayrshire are being invited to a free open day this Friday to find out how to complement classroom learning.

A welcome tea and coffee and introduction to the charity’s education programme takes place in the Pavilion, adjacent to Dumfries House itself, at 10am, followed at 11am by a tour of the estate’s education facilities - including those custom-built for workshops in STEM, food and farming, horticulture, textiles, hospitality and outdoor activities.

Dumfries House is the home of The Prince’s Foundation, whose education and training programmes rooted in nature and sustainability benefit thousands of pupils from all over Scotland every year. “All of our centres and programmes are available to schools, youth groups, local authorities and other organisations and offer a unique experience for those who attend.
