'Free spirit' grandad dies after Alzheimer's battle as wife pays tribute to her loving husband
Heartfelt tributes have been made for a ‘free-spirited’ man who brought joy into the lives of those around him.
The pair moved to Bacup later on in life and then to Stacksteads in 1980 after searching for a home with land. The keen traveller also bred English Bull Terriers, as well as showed and judged them all over the country, including in Bacup. The most dogs they had at one time was four and they entered many competitions, winning hundreds of prizes including best of breed and best terrier.
