A group of friends in Elton, Limerick, built a massive 23-foot-tall snowman named Big Bill during a snowstorm, breaking their previous record for snowman construction.
A group of friends from Elton in Limerick built a 23-foot tall snowman named Big Bill during Sunday's snowstorm. The five friends, including UCC students Servatius Antonius and Paulus Antonius, decided to construct the giant snowman after Met Éireann issued a Status Orange weather warning. They used a ladder to measure the snowman's height and incorporated a traffic cone for the nose, a barrel for the hat, turf for buttons, and coal for the eyes.
Big Bill surpasses the group's previous record for building giant snowmen, a 18-foot snowman named Andre created during the 2018 Beast from the East.
