Laura Rummel will face Tracie Shipman in the runoff election on March 26.
has lived in Frisco for 18 years. Rummel works in a business development role at PayPal. In December 2020, she lost to councilman Stricklin in a runoff election.
She is a volunteer with Paws in the City, a local animal-rescue organization, and recently co-founded her own organization, Frisco Pet Partners. She also volunteers for the Network of Executive Women, the National Association of MBAs, and the Frisco Women’s League.Rummel says she wants to ensure that infrastructure can handle expected growth; collaborate with landowners and developers to reduce the number of high-density apartments; and focus on attracting new businesses to Frisco.
