Residents shared their frustration as the Bushey splash park remains closed after more than a month - and temperatures rocket
Bushey parents have shared their frustration as a children’s water park remains closed a month after it was shut down - as temperatures soar. The borough council has carried out diagnostic testing and is working to solve the fault as soon as possible, a spokesperson for the borough council said. They added: “We appreciate that the splash park is very popular, particularly with some of our young residents, over the summer months. However, the safety of our residents is our absolute priority.
“It never seems to work these days,” one Bushey resident commented. “It’s been a beautiful weekend and still no splash park. What’s the point of having it as it’s always shut?”Lib Dem councillor Maxie Allen said: “This is very frustrating and disappointing for Bushey families who are missing out on fun at the splash park during this beautiful weather.“It’s not the fault of parks officers, who’ve been working hard to get it open. But we can’t go on like this.
"We need to establish whether the pump-house can genuinely be made to work reliably again. If not, we must consider how to fund a replacement”.We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues.
