A passenger on board the plane travelling from Belfast to Edinburgh described the experience as 'terrifying'
A Ryanair flight from Belfast to Edinburgh was forced to turn back last night after a “full emergency” was declared in what passengers described as a “terrifying” experience.
Belfast International Airport managing director Graham Keddie told BBC Radio Ulster that an emergency light had come on in the cockpit, forcing the pilot to turn the plane around “not long after it took off”. They said the crew had also been “terrified” but were “great” after the flight had landed. “ tried to announce something whilst mid-air but nobody could hear it,” the passenger added.
