Grade boundaries for each subject aren't released until results day when students across the UK will discover how they did in their subjects.
Today marks the culmination of many years’ work for thousands of UK students as they are set to receive their GCSE results. Schools will have been sent the results on Wednesday with them available to pick up from 8am on Thursday morning.
There was an increase in top GCSE grades in 2020 and 2021, as results were based on teacher assessments instead of exams during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the specific grade boundaries are not released until results day itself, to reduce stress on pupils. CCEA A full list of CCEA GCSE grade boundaries is available here. Note that CCEA does not use the numerical grade system.
