The final electricity credit of €125 is being paid to millions of households within weeks - here's a full list of who will get it amid a warning about payment dates
The €125 credit was announced as part of Budget 2025's cost of living package and is the second of two, adding up to €250 in energy credits overall.

The credit may not appear on your first bill during these payment periods, this depends on your individual billing cycle. Suppliers have information on their websites with the exact dates the credit is shown on customers’ bills.
The second credit will be made between 1 January and 28 February 2025. The payment is automatic, and you do not need to apply for it.You are eligible for the credit if you meet all these criteria: The low usage threshold is where you use less than 150kWh of energy a quarter between 1 September 2023 and 31 August 2024.If you have a prepay meter, you will still get the credit - it will be sent to you in the form of a top-up code from your energy supplier. Those with prepay meters should see the credit sent to them during November, as they won't have to wait for billing cycles.
