1,016 staff will lose their jobs

Wilko's administrators have announced the full list of 52 stores which will soon close across the country. PwC, which has been cutting jobs and selling the assets of the Worksop-based retailer, confirmed 1,016 staff would lose their jobs after the final day of trading at the stores listed below.

The following stores will close on Thursday, September 14: Ashford, Avonmeads, Banbury, Barrow in Furness, Basildon, Belle Vale, Burnley , Clydebank, Cortonwood, Dagenham, Dewsbury, Eccles, Folkestone, Great Yarmouth, Hammersmith, Huddersfield, Morriston, New Malden, North Shields, Queen Street Cardiff, Rhyl, Southampton-West Quay, St Austell, Stockport, Truro, Uttoxeter, Walsall, Woking.
