Mikel Arteta let rip in the post-match press conference after Arsenal went down at Newcastle to a controversial goal, heavily reviewed by VAR, with the Spaniard slamming the 'disgraceful' situation
Mikel Arteta was left fuming as the Arsenal manager took aim at the "embarrassing" decision to award Newcastle's winner.
Full transcript of Arteta's post-match interview He began saying to Sky Sports: "Praising my players for the way we played, we didn't deserve to lose the match playing in their ground and we lose because of clear and obvious decisions. It is embarrassing, it is a disgrace, that's what it is, a disgrace."
Arteta's rant continued: "You look at the images and I don't know how to feel. I am wasting my time, we are wasting our time. I don't want to be in the hands of people. It is difficult enough to compete against this really good team. The way we play, the way we compete, it is embarrassing, there is too much at stake. "
