Father-of-two Sean Feeney was just 29 when he tragically passed away earlier this month

A fundraiser has been set up to help the family of a young Cork man who tragically passed away in Cobh earlier this month.

The young father is dearly missed by his partner Sam, son and stepson, his parents, four brothers, nephews and a wide circle of close and loving friends who called him a "lovely man" who "always had a smile." The community have now come together to raise funds for Sean’s family to help support them during this difficult time. So far the GoFundMe has well surpassed its initial goal of €5,000, reaching just over €9,000 by Monday morning.

The GoFundMe post said: “Sean Feeney was tragically and suddenly taken from us last week in Cluain Ard, Cobh, leaving his family, son, stepson and partner Sam utterly bereft. At 29, he was their rock and one of the kindest people you will ever meet.
